What is this, exactly?

NFC tags placed on clothing hangers in your store. When a customer taps one with their phone, they're instantly redirected to your own signup page — the one you already run today. We don't build or host your signup flow; we just count the tap and send the traffic your way, tagged by department.

Do you access our website, our CMS, or our backend?

Accepted Answer

No. We never touch your website's code, hosting, or systems. You give us a destination URL — the same signup page you already have — and we redirect to it. That's the entire integration.

What hardware is involved?

Small NFC stickers/chips attached to hangers, color-coded by department (e.g. one color for women's, one for men's, one for kids'). No batteries, no app required on the customer's end — any modern smartphone reads NFC natively.

Can we choose how many tags and where they go?

Yes. You decide the segmentation — one general tag store-wide to boost signups broadly, or multiple tags split by department/section for more precise targeting data. You design your own campaign structure around it.

What if a tag gets lost, damaged, or moved to the wrong rack?

Tags are inexpensive and easy to replace. A misplaced tag (e.g. a women's tag ending up near menswear) creates minor noise in the data, not a system failure — replacement stock is included in the retainer.

Do you collect or store our customers' personal information?

No — never. No emails, no phone numbers, no names pass through our systems at any point. We only log the tap event itself: which store, which department, what time. Your signup page is where any customer data is actually captured, and it stays entirely in your systems.

Do you send marketing emails or texts to our customers?

No. We don't have that capability and it's not something we do. All campaigns, emails, and texts are run by you, through whatever platform you already use.

How is this different from something like Meta Pixel or Google Analytics?

It's the same category of tool — we're an analytics layer, not a marketing platform. The difference is the trigger: instead of tracking a page visit, we're tracking a physical, in-store action (a tap), which gives you a data point traditional web analytics can't capture.

Will this show up in our own analytics?

Yes. Every redirect includes standard UTM parameters, so traffic from tapped tags appears as a distinct, filterable source in whatever analytics or ESP platform you already use — no new dashboard required on your end to see it.

What does setup actually involve on our side?

You give us one thing: the signup page URL you want each tag type to point to. No IT ticket, no API keys, no DNS changes required for the standard setup. Most stores are live within a few weeks of signing.

What's the pricing?

A flat monthly retainer per store location, plus a one-time setup fee covering hardware and onboarding. Hardware costs are minimal and included in that setup fee — no separate invoice to process.

Is there a minimum commitment?

No. It's month to month — no minimum term and no lock-in. You can stop whenever it stops being useful.

Do you work with our competitors?

Yes, we work with other retailers. There's no exclusivity — and every month you're not running smart hangers, the stores that are keep collecting in-store signups and tap data you don't have.

What do we actually get to see on our end?

Accepted Answer

A simple dashboard showing tap volume by store and by department/segment, updated in real time. Conversion data (actual signups) lives in your own platform, filterable by the UTM source we tag — we don't duplicate or intercept that data ourselves.
